KARACHI: The security delegation of New Zealand Cricket (NZC) will visit the National Stadium on Saturday to assess the security arrangements in the country ahead of their limited-overs tour of Pakistan later this year.
According to the details, the security delegations will also hold a security briefing meeting with the law-enforcement agencies at SSU Headquarters here.
During their visit to the stadium, the delegation comprising experts assess the security arrangements before passing on their recommendations to NZC.
The final decision regarding the tour will then be taken in accordance with the clearance from the security delegation.
It is pertinent to mention here that New Zealand will tour Pakistan in September and October to play a three-match ODI series and T20I series.
Whereas, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also offered the NZC to play two additional T20Is in a bid to prepare for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, scheduled in October.
It is worth mentioning here that the NZC called off their Pakistan tour in the eleventh hour last year in September, citing security concerns.
