MIRPUR: Pakistan’s young pacer Naseem Shah lit up the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on debut as he took four wickets for his side Comilla Victorians’ fixture against Dhaka Dominators on Monday.
Naseem, who made his BPL debut with the Victorians, wreaked havoc over the Dominators’ batting lineup with his threatening pace.
The right-arm pacer took four wickets for just 12 runs in his quota of four overs to dent the home side’s pursuit.
Naseem’s brilliance inspired the Victorians to restrict the Dominators to a mere 104/9 after posting 164/6, thus powering to a dominating 60-run triumph.
Despite Naseem’s ruthless bowling performance, his countrymate Khushdil Shah was adjudged the player of the match for his all-round performance.
The all-rounder scored a brisk 30 off just 17 deliveries before taking two wickets in the Dominators’ run chase.
