GILGIT: In yet another remarkable feat, Pakistani mountaineer Naila Kiani reached the summit of Gasherbrum-I (8068 metres), the 11th highest peak in the world, on Friday to become the first Pakistani woman to summit the mountain.
According to the details six Pakistani climbers, Shehroze Kashif, Sirbaz Khan, Sajid Ali Sadpara, Imtiaz Sadpara, Sohail Sakhi and Naila scaled the Gasherbrum-I at 7:00 AM.

With the summit, Naila also became the first Pakistani to climb three 8000m peaks in her first attempt.
Meanwhile, Sirbaz has ascended his 12th peak of above 8000m, the most by any Pakistani climber.
The 20-year-old Shehroze became the youngest mountaineer to summit ten peaks of over 8000m with his current expedition.
“This was one of the most difficult tasks of my life that I had done so far,” said Naila after the summit.
