‘My son should not be associated with me as a cricketer’ Misbah Ul Haq

KARACHI: Former Pakistan captain and head coach – Misbah Ul Haq, while talking to the media said his son Faham Ul Haq should not be associated with him as a cricketer, here on Tuesday.

Misbah, in a media interaction, emphasized that his son Faham is a cricketer like any other cricketer, and requested that he should be associated with the former captain.

“My son is also a cricketer like ordinary cricketers,” he said.

“He should not be associated with me,” he added.

It must be noted here that Faham recently scored an unbeaten century in the ongoing Under-16 national ODI tournament and made headlines.

The 47-years-old also acknowledged the importance of intercollegiate cricket tournaments and said it is important to bring talented young cricketers to the forefront.

“The intercollegiate cricket tournament is important for grass-root cricket,” he said.

“Talented players will emerge from this tournament,” he added.

Misbah also opined about Australia’s historic tour to Pakistan after a gap of 24 years and said the tour will be vital for the Test-playing nations.

“I think it is very welcoming that Australia is touring Pakistan after a long time,” he said.

“Apart from the leagues, participation of big teams in Test cricket is important for the longest format of the game,” he added.
