Must-win game for Karachi Kings as they face rivals Lahore Qalandars

Things are getting tight for defending champions Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six as they face rivals Lahore Qalandars tonight in the 27th fixture.
The result of the match could potentially decide the future of Imad Wasim’s led Karachi Kings after they have lost the last three games and are at the fifth spot on points.
At the start of the Abu Dhabi leg, Kings were at the top of the points table and were coming as favorites but their hopes have been dented. Kings have to win tonight’s clash and also the next to keep their hopes alive of defending the title.

Kings are coming into this match on the back of two deflating defeats, Against Peshawar Zalmi, they were outclassed in all departments. They managed to score just 109 runs, which was chased down with significant ease.
The form of Babar Azam will also count for Kings as he has been leading the chart as the highest run-getter. He would like to get support from hard-hitter Sharjeel Khan, Martin Guptill, Najibullah Zadran, Imad Wasim.
The bowling department led by Mohammad Amir can regain form after Lahore Qalandars’ miserable performances in the last two matches.
On the other hand, Qalandars were looking all set to finish at the top of the table but back-to-back defeats have haunted their ambitions.
They have played eight matches thus far and with five wins, they have ten points coupled with a net run-rate of -0.183.
Their recent dip in the form can be attributed to some poor and reckless performances with the bat. They have now lost the momentum and might not be having as much confidence as they had when the second leg began.
Meanwhile, Qalandars would take positives after they beat Kings in the first leg by six wickets. The high-octane clash starts at 11.00 pm at Sheikh Zayed International Stadium, Karachi.
