LAHORE: The captain of Multan Sultans, Mohammad Rizwan was adjudged as the Player of the tournament of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 7, here at the closing ceremony of the mega event.
Rizwan’s stunning and consistent run in this year’s PSL has earned him the player of the tournament award. The right-handed batter remained a reliable asset for the former champions; scoring 546 runs at a strike rate of 126.68 and inspiring his side to the final.
On the other hand, Lahore Qalandars’ Fakhar Zaman and Islamabad United’s Shadab Khan were named as the Best Batter and Bowler of the tournament; following their exceptional performances. Fakhar scored 588 runs; including a century and seven fifties, at a strike rate of 153. Whereas, Shadab concluded the tournament with 19 wickets in nine matches with an economy rate of 6.47.
The commentary panel, which was commenting on every single ball of the mega event, selected the individual winners of the marquee event; considering player stats and match scenarios.
Furthermore, Sultans’ Khushdil Shah won two major awards; including All-rounder and Fielder of the Tournament, while Qalandars’ Zaman Khan claimed the Emerging Player of the Tournament.
Rashid Riaz, on the other hand, won the Umpire of the PSL 2022 award for his outstanding services.
