NEGERI SEMBILAN: Pakistan’s 13-year-old Syed Muhammad Hadi has claimed a gold medal in the -45 kg featherweight category at the 7th International Heroes 2025 Taekwondo Cup here at the N9 Arena, in Malaysia.
The Taekwondo Cup was held at the N9 Arena in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, from August 7 to 10, 2025, bringing together Taekwondo teams from around the world.
Hadi, who was competing against 22 countries, demonstrated exceptional skill and outplayed top athletes from Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, and China in five intriguing bouts (age 12-14) category.
Muhammad Hadi, who also secured a silver medal at the Qatar Open, is continuing to emerge as a rising star on the international arena.
Following his win, Muhammad Hadi shared his feelings and dedicated his victory to the entire nation.
“Every medal I win is for Pakistan,” he said after clinching gold.
For the unversed, at the 2023 Qatar Open Taekwondo Championship held in Doha, Muhammad Hadi displayed an excellent performance, clinching gold in the 36 kg children’s category.
He opened his account with a win against an opponent from Saudi Arabia, followed by a victory against a competitor from the host country, Qatar.
Hadi advanced to the finals after securing wins against Bahrain and Oman opponents. However, he was defeated in a narrowly contested final by an opponent from Bahrain, with the margin of victory being only two points.
