WINCHESTER: Pakistan’s pacer – Mohammad Abbas has been signed by Hampshire Cricket for the upcoming 2022 County Championship.
Taking to Twitter, Hampshire announced the signing with the veteran fast bowler.
According to the county club, Abbas will be available for at least the first two months of the season.
In a statement released by Hampshire, Abbas said he is delighted to join the county.
“I am delighted to be joining Hampshire again. I really enjoyed the environment and playing with this squad,” he said.
“I know there is a big desire at the Club for silverware in the County Championship and hopefully, I can play my part and contribute with the ball,” he added.
Abbas picked 41 wickets at an average of just 16 for Hampshire in the previous season, including three five-wicket hauls with best figures of 6-11 against Middlesex.
