KARACHI: Pakistan’s left-arm orthodox Anam Amin thinks that they were short of their senior batters followed by their defeat at the hands of West Indies women in first ODI of three-match series here at National Stadium on Monday.
In an interview released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Anam said Javeria Khan, Omaima Sohail and Nida Dar were missed as they fell short of their run-chase.
“I think we missed our senior batters as we fell short to run-chase. Javeria, Omaima and Nida missed out but I hope we will make comeback in next matches,” she said.
Anam, who picked up her maiden fifer in ODI format, said she is happy to make worthy contribution for her team. “I am happy with this performance. Unfortunately, we lost the match but we will try to comeback in match. I will also try to continue this performance in upcoming matches,” she maintained.
