Batting first, the Hurricanes’ start of their innings, also halted by a poor start; losing three wickets for just 52 runs. McDermott and Peter Handscomb, however, put on a remarkable partnership of 115-runs. Handscomb fell short after scoring 24 off 20 balls, hitting two boundaries.
