DAMBULLA: Sam Harper’s 40 off 22 balls set up a solid platform for Galle Gallants to post a big total against Dambulla Sixers in the eighth fixture of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2026 at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Wednesday.
Put in to bat first, Galle finished their 20 overs with 178-8 on the board.
After losing an early wicket for 14 inside two overs, Sam Harper and Charith Asalanka stitched a 64-run stand for the second wicket. Aslanka contributed 25 while Harper’s knock included three sixes and three fours.
After a solid partnership, Dambulla made their way back with three quick wickets, leaving Galle Gallants 107-4 in 12 overs.
Following the wickets, Chamika Karunaratne played a vital role in the last phase of the innings and scored 45 off 30 balls, including two sixes and four boundaries.
For Dambulla Sixers, Fazalhaq Farooqi scalped three, whereas Marques Ackerman also picked up two wickets.
