Munro, Khuwaja stun Gladiators, lead United to 10-wickets victory

ABU DHABI: Openers Colin Munro and Usman Khuwaja made it a one-sided contest as Islamabad United chased 134 runs in 10 overs against Quetta Gladiators. 
The left-handed duo handed a 10-wickets victory to United who now rose to the second position at the points table.

Munro fire-powered 90 runs off just 36 balls laced with five maximums and 12 boundaries.

Whilst, Usman Khuwaja supported him strongly at the other end, scoring composed 41 runs off 27 balls with the help of six boundaries and a six.

Earlier, United’s bowlers bowled with contained line and length to bowl out Gladiators for 133 in the 18th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6.
Sent into bat first, Gladiators’ suffered under pressure from the very start after losing openers for just 23 runs. Usman Khan looked a bit aggressive in the start but the right-handed batsman got out after scoring just 14 runs. Faf Du Plessis managed to score just five.

Jake Weatherald took some responsibility and kept ticking the scoreboard. He scored 43 runs off 35 balls with the help of three boundaries and two sixes.

Azam Khan also resisted a bit and smashed 26 runs off 23 balls laced with a six and two boundaries.

Hasan Ali, Mohammad Wasim Jr, and Mohammad Musa bagged two wickets each while Akif Javed and Shadab Khan shared a wicket apiece.
