DUBAI: England all-rounder Liam Livingstone soared to the top of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s T20I rankings after a strong showing against Australia.
Liam Livingstone jumped seven places and replaced Australia’s Marcus Stoinis as the number one all-rounder in the T20I rankings.
He scored a 47-ball 87, coupled with two wickets to win the Player of the Match award in the second T20I against Australia. Meanwhile, in the first match, he took three wickets and scored 37 off 27.
Consequently, Liam Livingstone achieved the career-best rating of 253 points, 43 more than the second-placed Stoinis (211).
Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza (208) and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan (206) are placed third and fourth respectively after dropping one place each.
Livingstone also jumped 17 places in the ICC Men’s T20I Batting rankings to reach 33rd spot.
Meanwhile, Australia’s Travis Head extended his lead at the top of the T20I Batting rankings, courtesy of his explosive performances of 31 off 14 and 59 off 23 against England.
His teammate Josh Inglis made significant progress as he stormed into the top ten rankings after scoring 37 (27) and 42 (26) in the same series.
