KARACHI: Pakistani left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi reacted to the fellow wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan bowling as a medium pacer for Sussex in the ongoing County Championship 2022.
In a video released by the Sussex County Cricket Club, the wicket-keeper batter can be seen bowling as a medium pacer during his side’s fixture against Durham, which eventually ended in a draw.
“He does it all. M. Rizwan’s first over in the County Championship,” Sussex wrote on Twitter.

The video gathered huge attention as it went viral in just a matter of hours. A user retweeted the left-arm pacer Shaheen and wrote, “Watch out [Shaheen]. You have some serious competition now. [Rizwan] bringing the bowl in and out. Simply wow!” the tweet read.
Shaheen, on the other hand, quickly responded in a humorous way and asked Rizwan, whether he should retire, while also urging him to leave something for others.
‘Rizzi bhai, should we take retirement now? What are you doing? Leave something for us,” Shaheen wrote.
Rizzi bhai, ab kya hum retirement le lain? Ye aap kya ker rahe hain?
Kuch hamare liye bhi chorh dain. 🙂@iMRizwanPak https://t.co/TLzKoggyT0

It is pertinent to mention here that Rizwan scored a brilliant 79 off 145 balls and also shared the crease with India’s Cheteshwar Pujara; putting on an astonishing 154 runs partnership for the sixth wicket.
Pujara top-scored for the side with his second double century of the season; scoring 203, but the four-day match could not conclude a result between the two sides.
