CAPE TOWN: Will Jacks continued his dazzling form as he smashed his third fifty in the SA20 before Anrich Nortje and Wayne Parnell ran through the MI Cape Town’s batting to steer Pretoria Capitals to a commanding 52-run win on Monday.
Jacks played an astounding knock of 27-ball 52, laced with five fours and as many sixes to help Capitals reach a mammoth total of 182/8 after they were put into bat.
Cape Town, in reply, were bundled out for 130 runs thanks to an all-round bowling display by Capitals’ bowlers as they grabbed the last eight wickets for the addition of a mere 29 runs.
With a dominant win, Pretoria Capitals earned a bonus point which extended their lead at the top, six points ahead of second-placed Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
Parnell and Nortje picked three wickets each while Adil Rashid took two as they jolted MI Cape Town’s batting lineup, who looked in complete command till the 13th over of the chase.

None of the last seven batters of the Cape Town made their way into the double figures following Brevis’s dismissal in the 13th over off Nortje.
Earlier Capitals also put up a dominant show with the bat, as openers WIll Jacks and Kusal Mendis raised a solid 88-run partnership while Theunis de Bruyn and James Neesham contributed 36 and 22, respectively.
