Three-time Pakistan Super League (PSL) champions Islamabad United have bolstered their squad with the addition of top-order batter Mohammad Faiq ahead of the upcoming season 11.
The franchise confirmed the signing of Faiq on Friday through their official social media channels.
The 28-year-old right-hander, who was part of Islamabad United’s squad last year but did not feature in any matches, brings valuable domestic T20 experience to the side.
Faiq has scored 443 runs in 12 matches, boasting an impressive average of 63.28 and a strike rate of 189.31, which includes two centuries and two half-centuries.
The season 11 of the Pakistan Super League is set to kick off on March 26 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, with defending champions Lahore Qalandars taking on debutants Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen in the opening fixture.
The tournament will run until May 3, promising an action-packed schedule for fans.
