Pakistan pacer Ihsanullah has recently surprised everyone with the revelation that his favourite cricketer is wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan.
Ihsanullah, who has featured for Pakistan in one ODI and four T20Is, suffered an elbow injury and has been away from international cricket since playing for Pakistan in the ODI series against New Zealand at home last year in April.
During a recent appearance at a local podcast, Ihsanullah was initially asked about his favourite player from the Indian cricket team. He responded that he does not have any favourite player in the Indian team.
The host was surprised by this response and asked Ihsanullah if he admired any of the current or former Indian players, mentioning legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Gautam Gambhir, and Yuvraj Singh.

However, the fast bowler remained firm in his stance and reiterated his previous response, while revealing that his favourite player is Mohammad Rizwan.
“No, I don’t have a favourite Indian player. My favourite player is Mohammad Rizwan, whether current or from the past. He is my favourite player in the world,” said Ihsanullah.
It’s worth noting that Ihsanullah played under Rizwan during his time with Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) before his injury.
He made his debut for the franchise in the 2022 edition of the tournament and has taken 23 wickets in 14 appearances so far.
