BENGALURU: Pakistan’s left-handed opening batter Fakhar Zaman has been ruled out of the ICC World Cup 2023 clash against Australia on October 20 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Fakhar Zaman is suffering from a knee injury and the team doctor advised him to rest for one week.
Meanwhile, Salman Ali Agha, who was suffering from a fever is making a good recovery.
Other team members are fit and available for selection for tomorrow’s anticipated match against Australia.
Pakistan are currently sitting fourth in the ICC World Cup 2023 standings with four points in three matches while Australia are in seventh position after winning their solitary game against Sri Lanka on Monday.
The green shirts will be eyeing to bounce back from their seven-wicket thrashing against India on Saturday.
