DUBAI: West Indies all-rounder Justin Greaves was among the nominees for the Player of the Month award for July 2026, announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday.
Besides Greaves, England’s white-ball captain Harry Brook and Bangladesh’s Tanzid Hasan have been shortlisted for the award.
All-rounder Greaves delivered outstanding performances in July against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, respectively. He was pivotal in West Indies’ 1-0 win over Sri Lanka in the two-match series.
The right-hander scored a sublime 180 in the first Test, with the Men in Maroon, eventually clinching the series after a draw in the second Test.
Greaves was at his destructive best in the series against Pakistan, where he delivered a sensational all-round performance in 1-1 draw, including a record 5 for 27 in the first innings of series opener.
Overall, he scored 215 runs at an impressive average of 71.66 from two Tests, while also taking eight wickets at an average of only 10.25.

Harry Brook was included on the back of his success in the T20I series against India. Despite managing 31 runs in three ODIs, Brook returned to form in the T20Is, racking up 229 runs across five matches at an average of 114.50 and a strike rate of 214.01.
Owing to his outstanding performances in the T20Is, Brook was named the Player of the Series.
Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan put up impressive performances against Zimbabwe. The left-hander finished as the leading run-scorer during their white-ball tour.
In the ODI series, Tanzid scored 159 runs across three matches, averaging 53.00 at a strike rate of 89.83.
His rich vein of form continued in the T20I series, amassing 140 runs at an average of 70.00 at a strike rate of 127.27. Tanzid Hasan finished as the highest run-getter across the ODI and T20I series.
