SHARJAH: Young opening batter Mohammad Haris has taken the responsibility for Pakistan’s dismal performance in the recently-concluded T20I series against Afghanistan.
Haris, who scored just 22 runs in three innings, apologized to the cricket fans of the country for his consistent failures with the bat during the series.
“Dear my nation. Not the result we wanted. I am responsible as I did not provide a good start for my team.” he maintained in a Twitter post on Tuesday.
“Really sorry but we will learn from this experience and come back stronger In ShAA Allah,” he added.

It may be noted here that Afghanistan beat Pakistan 2-1 in the maiden bilateral series between the two sides. Although the Green Shirts bounced back in the final T20I to achieve a consolation win, the inexperienced batting lineup underwent batting collapses which led to forgettable results in the first two matches.
