“Famous Cricket player Haris Rauf has been made the goodwill ambassador of Islamabad Capital Police. IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan conferred the honorary rank of DSP on Haris Rauf.” wrote ICT on its official Twitter account.
The right-arm pacer also expressed his excitement over his appointment as a goodwill ambassador, saying it was ‘an even greater honour’ for him to wear the uniform.
“I’m truly honoured to be appointed as a goodwill ambassador of Islamabad Police and an even greater honour to be able to wear this uniform as our heroes who lay their lives in the line of duty !” Rauf tweeted.
Earlier, fellow-pacer Naseem Shah was also appointed as honorary DSP by the Balochistan Police last month.
