FLORIDA: Guinness World Records took a hilarious jibe at the Indian cricket team over their humiliating 10-wicket defeat against England in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 semi-final.
In a bid to book final clash against Pakistan, England and India locked horns in the second semi-final of the mega event on Thursday.
English captain Jos Buttler after winning the toss, put India into bat first. Former skipper Virat Kohli and all-rounder Hardik Pandya scored half-centuries and guided their team to 168/6 in their quota of 20 Overs.
2010 champions England then needed to chase 169 to storm into the final and they did so in style as their openers Jos Buttler and Alex Hales thwarted Indian bowlers all over the ground and pulled off a perfect run chase to propel the side to a resounding victory.
The English opening pair recorded the highest partnership in T20Is to hand India a humiliating 10-wicket defeat in the semi-final.
Following this, Guinness World Records took a dig at the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team and questioned “Easiest run chase in history?”
