DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has named Pakistan’s cricketer – Fatima Sana as the Women’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year, following her all-round performances in the international circuit.
In a press release, ICC named Fatima as the Women’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year. The 20-years-old had a great run in 2021; impressing with both the bat and the ball.
Taking to Twitter, ICC shared the video of Fatima’s brilliant performance, stating ‘A new star is born’.
On her remarkable achievement, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also congratulated the young pacer via Twitter.
“PCB congratulates Fatima Sana on winning ICC Women’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year 2021,” the cricket board wrote.
Fatima bagged 24 wickets at an average of 23.95. She also scored 165 runs at an average of 16.50 in 16 international matches.
