Abu Dhabi: Peshawar Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz wants his troops to play without pressure and enjoy their cricket as the franchise resumes Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six campaign against Lahore Qalandars today.
The 35-year-old Wahab talked to reporters earlier today. He opined heavy dew can be a disadvantage for the teams as the competition progress.
“My playing XI, players sitting on the bench are my match winners. There’s no pressure at all. I have reiterated to my players to enjoy their cricket. You will have good days and bad days,” Wahab said.
“Tomorrow we were watching the match (LQvIU) at the ground and our aim was to analyze the conditions. The match today will start and undoubtedly there will be a dew factor too,” he added.
Qalandars defeated Zalmi when they met first time earlier this year. They also played a complete match yesterday and got accustomed to the conditions but Wahab is not thinking that way as he believes the Zalmi combination is quite good to give tough time to table-toppers
“You have to play good cricket in every match in T20. Our combination is quite good and we are ready to go. No doubt Qalandars have big names but they have to play as per their reputation,” he maintained.
It must be noted that Qalandars and Zalmi will meet at 11.00 pm today.
