LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the men’s domestic calendar for 2022-23 with the National T20 Cup scheduled ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup, slated for October-November, this year.
According to the details released by PCB, the National T20 Cup will be held from August 30 to September 19, featuring six teams on a double league basis with a total of 33 matches.
Meanwhile, the second XIs Cricket Associations (CA) Cup will be played simultaneously from September 2 to 15.
All the Cricket Associations tournaments will now be played on a double league basis whereas the CA Championship, a three-day tournament has been elevated to a four-day non-first-class competition.
Moreover, Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Pakistan’s premium red-ball domestic tournament, will be staged from September 27 to November 30 with 31 games being played in Abbottabad, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Karachi.
The domestic season will come to its end with a 50-over tournament, Pakistan Cup, which will be held in Karachi from December 10 to January 3. While CA Challenge, the second Xls one-day tournament, will also be staged simultaneously in Karachi from December 10 to 29.
