‘Do I write it on stamp paper?’ Ramiz confident to continue as Chairman

KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ramiz Raja has denounced the speculations of his removal from the position and claimed that he was not going anywhere.

Speaking at a press conference here today, the incumbent chairman looked confident to continue with his role while briefing about the projects currently underway by the PCB, including Pathway Cricket Programme and Pakistan Junior League (PJL).

“I’m not going anywhere. Do you want me to write it on Stamp paper?,” said Ramiz “I know that you people want me to leave,” he snubbed.

Meanwhile, Ramiz hailed the pathway Cricket Programme as a game-changer for Pakistan cricket and expressed the possibility of fielding three teams at the same time in the future.

“My chairmanship is hinged on this project,” he claimed

“The Pathway Programme will identify and develop new talent. We may even field three teams at the same time in the future,” he added.

He further welcomed the private-owned company for getting on board with the project and claimed that the project will bring out such talented players who could throw and bat with both hands.

“The privately-owned firm will pay for all the coaches and expenditures incurred in this pathway,” he informed.”We will bring out such through this program who can bat and release the throw with both hands.”

Ramiz further revealed the plan for conducting the inaugural edition of PJL as he charged legendary batter Javed Miandad to supervise the league and announced Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, and Darren Sammy to be the icon players of the league,
