India’s ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma has been in the headlines for an unlikely reason as the experienced batter was alleged to have photoshopped his picture to look leaner.
Despite being one of the top batters to ever represent India at the international level, Rohit has faced backlash on numerous occasions for his bulky physique.
The trolls seemed to have taken a toll on the right-handed batter as fans blamed him for digitally altering his image to look sleek.
After a careful analysis, it appeared that the World Cup-winning Indian captain made tweaks to his picture to look slim.
The original picture of Rohit, on the left, was uploaded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from their national team’s practice session for the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka.
The same picture, on the right, was uploaded by Rohit Sharma on all his social media handles. But the image appeared to be digitally altered as his right arm looked curved and weird while his belly also looked much thinner than the original image shared by the BCCI.
It is worth mentioning here that the first ODI of the three-match series between Sri Lanka and India will be played on August 2 at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The remaining two fixtures will be played on August 4 and 7 respectively at the same venue.
India’s ODI squad for Sri Lanka series: Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill (vc), Virat Kohli, KL Rahul (WK), Rishabh Pant (wk), Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Siraj, Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, Riyan Parag, Axar Patel, Khaleel Ahmed, Harshit Rana.
