Blind Cricket: Pakistan blunt Bangladesh ahead of Triangular series final

SHARJAH: In the last round match of the ongoing Triangular Blind T20 Tournament, Pakistan Blind Cricket Team sealed a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh Blind Cricket Team before their final clash against the arch-rivals India.

After opting to bat first, Bangladesh could only manage to score 99/9 in the allotted 20 overs as tight bowling from Pakistan’s bowlers did not allow the opposition batters to score freely.

For Bangladesh, Sahidul Islam remained the top-score with 23 runs off 26 balls, while Mohammad Mohsen Hussain also chipped in with 17 off 29 deliveries.

For Pakistan, Mohsin Khan claimed two wickets, while Anees Javed struck out a batter each.

Set to chase a skimpy 100, Pakistan comfortably steered to the victory in the 11th over with seven wickets in hand as Mohsin shone with the bat too; scoring a quick 35 off 25 balls. Riasat Khan, on the other hand, also chipped in with his valuable 28 runs off 13 deliveries.

Arif Ullah managed to make one scalp for Bangladesh.

For his brilliant all-round performance, Mohsin was adjudged as the player of the match.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan have already qualified for the triangular series final and will face the arch-rivals India on March 19. The green shirts topped the points table with 12 points; winning all their round matches.

Whereas, India booked their place in the final after securing two victories against Bangladesh, which set them to second place.
