Fast bowler Mohammad Amir has thrown his support behind Shadab Khan following the all-rounder’s lacklustre performance in the recently-concluded PAK vs NZ T20I series.
Shadab has been going through a rough patch since the last year’s T20 World Cup while his recent performances during the home T20I series against New Zealand came under severe criticism.
Shadab took just three wickets in the five-game series and dropped a crucial catch in the final match which virtually cost the game to Pakistan. The all-rounder dropped Mark Chapman in the 14th over, who then went on to score a match-winning century to help Kiwis draw the series 2-2.
However, Shadab’s teammates and fellow cricketers including Mohammad Amir came out in support of the out-of-form all-rounder amid a rough phase of his career.
Taking to Twitter, the left-arm pacer backed Shadab and called him the ‘best white ball Cricketer in Pakistan.’
Best white ball Cricketer in Pakistan performance achi or buri hoti hai cricket me yeah time her player pe ata hai @76Shadabkhan keep working hard brother u are love😍.

He also retweeted a compilation video of the finest catches from Shadab shared by Hasan Ali last year.
Meanwhile, Hasan also lent his support to Shadab on Twitter. “Prince of Pakistan,” he wrote.

The 24-year-old Shadab is the vice-captain of the Green Shirts in the white-ball format and has a reputation as one of the best fielders in Pakistan.
He played an impactful role for Pakistan in the 2022 World Cup in Australia as he contributed with both bat and ball, taking 11 wickets and scoring 98 runs.
