LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s chairman Ramiz Raja shared his visions for 2022 while bidding farewell to 2021.
In an interview released by PCB media, the head of Pakistan’s cricket assured strong infrastructure for the game in the country.
“My aim in 2022 will be to provide best cricket infrastructure to this country,” Ramiz said. “2022 is a big year for all of us as cricket fans. A lot challenges we have to deal with and I am really looking forward to it,” he maintained.
While talking about junior level cricket, Ramiz once again emphasized its importance. “My focus is to lift cricket at the junior level because they are the asset of our system. If we provide them ample opportunities, stars will come out of them. That’s why I have decided to make a pool of junior players and given them monthly stipend. It will help us a lot moving forward,” he explained.
“We are going to built a state-of-the-art stadium in Islamabad with a quality high-performance center. This stadium will facilitate us in First-Class and international matches,” he briefed.
PSL Broadcasting Rights
Ramiz was happy with the increased value of Pakistan Super League (PSL) broadcasting rights and live streaming rights.
“Our brand PSL value has increased worldwide. I am happy to see rapid rise in the value of PSL media rights that sold out in record amount,” he concluded.
