QUETTA: The Balochistan Police on Saturday appointed the right-arm pacer Naseem Shah as the honorary Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
According to the details, a ceremony was held here at the IG office to confer the rank of DSP to the right-arm young pacer.
The IG Balochistan Police Abdul Khaliq Sheikh and Additional Chief Secretary Interior Zahid Saleem attended the ceremony and presented the pacer with stars on his uniform.
It is pertinent to mention that Naseem represented Pakistan in 15 Tests, five ODIs and 16 T20Is and picked up 74 wickets thus far in his budding international career.
The right-arm pacer will represent Quetta Gladiators in the upcoming eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), scheduled to commence on February 13.
Meanwhile, another Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi was honoured by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Police as he was appointed as the ambassador of goodwill in July 2022.
