KARACHI: Bahawalpur beat Karachi by eight wickets to qualify for SAF 7th National Disabled T20 Cricket Championship’s final here on Wednesday.
Mohammad Noman’s all-around performance steered Bahawalpur to victory in the second semi-final of the tournament.
While batting first, Karachi managed to score 113-8 in 20 overs. Tahir smashed unbeaten 58 runs off 48 balls including three boundaries. Haroon Rasheed made 16.
Kashif Abbas, Noman, and Abdul Khaliq bagged two wickets each for Bahawalpur.
In reply, Bahawalpur chased down the target in 16.2 overs with eight wickets in hand. Noman top-scored with 34 runs off 31 balls laced with three boundaries and a six. Mohammad Shehzad made 27.
Haroon Rasheed was the lone wicket-taker from Karachi.
With his shining performance, Noman bagged his fourth consecutive man-of-the-match award. Bahawalpur will now meet Islamabad in the Championship’s final on December 3 (World Disabled Day).
