TAROUBA: Captain Babar Azam and opening batter Azan Awais scored centuries, while fast bowler Mohammad Ali picked up a fifer as Pakistan’s four-day warm-up match against the West Indies Select XI ended in a draw at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
After electing to bat first, Pakistan piled up 455-4 in their first innings with the visiting top-order getting accustomed to conditions after batting for nearly two days and 136.5 overs.
Azan Awais made 100 off 241 balls before retiring out. Former captain Shan Masood also chipped in with 70, hitting 10 fours. Skipper Babar Azam also returned to form with a century before retiring out.
Abdullah Fazal, who came down the order, scored a fifty while Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha also got among the runs with 46 and 44 runs respectively.
For West Indies, Ryan Bandoo picked up two wickets.

Pakistan were equally good with the ball, bowling out West Indies XI for 279 in 89.5 overs. For the home side, Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Kavem Hodge were among the runs. Chanderpaul made 51 while Hodge top-scored with a well-made 92.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Ali was impressive with the ball, picking up a five-wicket haul while spinner Ali Usman also chipped in with two wickets.
In the second innings, Mohammad Rizwan opened the innings alongside Imam-ul-Haq, but both were dismissed cheaply for 4 and 14 respectively.
Meanwhile, Salman Ali Agha scored 52, while Awais Zafar, batting for the first time in the West Indies, made 64. Abdullah Fazal also contributed with 48.
The match ended in a draw, with Pakistan finishing on 219-4 in their second innings.
