LAHORE: Pakistan captain Babar Azam achieved another milestone in the shortest format as he became the joint-fastest batter to score 3000 runs in the sixth T20I against England.
Babar achieved the historic feat during his phenomenal anchoring knock against England in the ongoing sixth T20I on Friday here at Gaddafi Stadium.
The Pakistan skipper reached the landmark in 81 innings, equalling India’s Virat Kohli who took the same number of innings to reach the milestone.
It is pertinent to mention that Babar also became the second-fastest batter to score 8000 runs in T20 cricket overtaking Kohli, while T20 specialist Gayle was the fastest to reach the milestone in 213 innings.
