KARACHI: Former Yorkshire spinner Azeem Rafiq heaped praises on Pakistan’s left-handed opener Shan Masood, who scored a magnificent double century in the ongoing County Championship 2022.
After scoring 91 and 62 respectively in his debut county cricket match against Middlesex. Shan went big as he went on to smash a magnificent double century in his second match against the Sussex team that included both Mohammad Rizwan and Cheteshwar Pujara in their playing XI.
Taking to Twitter, former Yorkshire spinner Rafiq lauded the left-handed opener, Shan, saying ‘He is everything’.
“Absolutely no surprise what so ever that Shan Masood is smashing it. He is everything that you want from an overseas professional,” he tweeted.
It is pertinent to mention here that Shan made his way back to the pavilion on day two after scoring 239 off 340 balls, laced with 24 boundaries. His monumental knock of 239 runs is the highest individual score by a Pakistani batter in County cricket.
