Karachi: English pacer Jofra Archer has included Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi in his six T20 overseas world cup stars to watch.
The 26-year-old, in his article in Daily Mail, wrote about England chances and other various things. Alongside Shaheen, he named Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, South Africa’s Quinton de Kock and Kagiso Rabada, West Indies’ Andre Russel and Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga.
Archer thinks Shaheen challenges batters with his different angles and height.
“Being a left-armer, he challenges batters from a different angle, swings the ball and can bowl decent change-ups later on in an innings. Standing 6ft 6ins, he also extracts bounce out of pitches that others can’t,” Archer opined.
It must be noted that Archer has been out of cricket for the past six months due to an elbow injury. He won’t take part in T20 World Cup and Ashes too for England.
