Kickboxer Agha Kaleem defeats Indian rival in Budo Championship

BAKU: Pakistan kickboxer Agha Kaleem continued his dominant run on the International stage with a win over Indian opponent Arjun Singh in the Professional Budu Championship in Azerbaijan.

Agha remained dominant throughout the bout, landing effective counter-punches on his opponent before eventually securing victory.

The victory showed Agha’s demonstration of skill, as he has previously recorded multiple victories at the international level.

The Open World Budo Martial Arts Cup runs from May 14 to May 18, 2026. This multi-discipline martial arts tournament brings together global competitors across several contact combat sports.

For the unversed, Agha Kaleem’s achievements were also recognized in ‘Hamaray Heroes ’ during Pakistan Super League (PSL), an initiative by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to recognize and celebrate individuals and organizations making a positive impact on Pakistan across various fields.

Originally hailing from Quetta, Agha Kaleem rose to prominence after working as a tea seller to support his livelihood.

He has since established his own academy,  where he trains MMA fighters and is also working towards women’s empowerment by providing opportunities for girls interested in learning MMA.

In terms of his athletic accomplishments, he is a two-time national champion, having won titles in 2021 and 2023. He is also a four-time international champion, including two Asian championships in 2022 and 2025.

Agha has won Bronze medals twice in 2024 and has also secured a world silver medal.
