MELBOURNE: Uninterrupted rain has forced the Group 1 fixture of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 between Afghanistan and New Zealand to be called off without a ball being bowled, here on Wednesday.
Following the match abandonment, both teams were awarded a point each. New Zealand moves to the top of the table with three points while Afghanistan sits at the bottom of Group 1 in the Super 12 round.
