ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 schedule unveiled

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on Friday, unveiled the schedule of the Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024, scheduled to be hosted by Oman from October 18 to 27.

A total of eight teams will participate in the emerging continental event, including Pakistan A, India A, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh A, Afghanistan A, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and hosts Oman.

Besides the five “A” teams, the other three teams qualified for the Emerging Asia Cup 2024 through 2024 ACC Men’s Premier Cup.

UAE won the Premier Cup after beating Oman in the final, while Hong Kong outclassed in the third-place play-off to book their spot in the tournament.

The eight teams are divided into two groups of four with arch-rivals Pakistan A and India A drawn in Group B alongside UAE and Oman. The blockbuster clash between the fierce rivals is scheduled to take place on October 19th.

Group A features Bangladesh A, Sri Lanka A, Afghanistan A and Hong Kong.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, scheduled on October 25th. The ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 final will be played on October 27th.

In the previous edition, held in Sri Lanka in 2013, Pakistan A humbled arch-rivals India A to claim their second consecutive Emerging Asia Cup title.
