ABU DHABI: Quinton de Kock scored a dominant half-century, aided by Rovman Powell’s quickfire 31 to power Delhi Bulls to a crushing nine-wicket win over Deccan Gladiators in the third Abu Dhabi T10 League match at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium.
Deccan Gladiators had a flying start after opting to bat as they raced to 64 in the sixth over, courtesy of the fiery batting display by Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Andre Fletcher.
Kohler-Cadmore fell prey to Naveen-ul-Haq after scoring 42 runs from 21 balls, laced with five boundaries and three sixes.
Fletcher was joined by fellow West Indian Nicholas Pooran and they added 35 runs before the former was run out at a total of 99.
Fletcher scored 34 runs off 20 balls featuring three sixes and one boundary.
Pooran (18) and Gladiators’ captain Andre Russell (19) added 21 runs from the last seven balls of the innings to push the total to 120 in ten overs.

In response, Quinton de Kock and Johnson Charles set the tone for the chase in the Bulls’ first game of the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 League season.
Together they raised 73 runs for the first wicket in five overs, before Luke Wood castled Charles to pick the only wicket for Gladiators.
Charles scored a 13-ball 36 with the help of five boundaries and two sixes.
Bulls’ skipper Rovman Powell joined De Kock and both batters exhibited tremendous power-hitting skills to chase the total in 8.3 overs while losing only one wicket.
De Kock scored 50 runs from 26 balls, laced with three boundaries and four sixes, while Powell played a 12-ball cameo of 31 runs, which featured five boundaries and one six.
