LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released a video on Test batter Abid Ali’s gradual return to cricket, the 34-years-old has started the complete rehabilitation process under PCB Medical Pannel.
In a PCB released video, Abid, while narrating his health status, stated that he was awarded the second life, while the right-handed batter is determined to make his return to cricket.
“I experienced chest pain while batting, and when I went to the hospital, I found out that two of my arteries were blocked and according to ECG, my heart was only 30 percent functional,” Abid said.
“Allah has awarded me a new life; now I must return to cricket,” he added.
Abid also thanked his fans for their prayers and support and urged them to seek medical attention on a regular basis.
Taking to Twitter, PCB shared the video of ‘Abid’s narration of his health scare, recovery and comeback’.

Chairman PCB Ramiz Raja congratulated Abid for his partial recovery, while Ramiz has ordered the installation of defibrillators in Karachi and Lahore to combat any unpleasant situation in the future.
Furthermore, Test cricketer, Hasan Ali stated that he was shocked after getting to know about Abid’s health status.
Abid was diagnosed with Acute Coronary Syndrome and went through angioplasty, last month.
