SOUTHAMPTON: Pakistan’s right-arm speedster Mohammad Abbas, who is representing Hampshire in the ongoing County Championship 2023, took six wickets in his side’s fixture against Nottinghamshire, here on Thursday.
Abbas, who enjoyed a promising last season, bagged 50 wickets in 12 matches, had a flying start to this year’s tournament as the right-arm pacer decimated Nottinghamshire’s batting lineup by claiming a six-for.
The right-handed pacer bowled 15.3 overs, took six wickets, bowled four maidens, and conceded only 49 runs.

His brilliance with the ball propelled Hampshire to bundle out Nottinghamshire for a meagre 185 despite gritty knocks by Joe Clarke (47) and Tom Moores (49).
Abbas represented Pakistan in 25 matches from 2017 to 2021 and claimed 90 wickets in the longest format.
