DUBAI: India star Abhishek Sharma has made major strides in ICC T20I batting and all-rounders Rankings after his heroics against England in the five-match T20I series.
Abhishek Sharma jumped up to 38 places and replaced his compatriot Tilak Verma from second place in the T20I batter rankings along with climbing 31 spots in the all-rounders ranking.
Sharma climbed up to the rankings due to his all-round performance in the fifth and final match of the series in Mumbai. He smashed 135 runs on just 54 balls which included 13 sixes along with scalping took two wickets which also bagged him the Player of the Match award.
Australia’s explosive batter Travis Head is still on the top of the batting rankings in the above-mentioned format but Sharma is not far behind him sitting on second place with just 26 rating points difference.

Varma and team India captain Suryakumar Yadav are in third and fifth place respectively after dropping down one position in the rankings.
Meanwhile, West Indies’ Akeal Hosein has reclaimed the number-one spot after he was dethroned by England’s Adil Rashid last week. Rashid has dropped down to second place, where he is now joined by mystery Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy who has jumped three places.
Chakravarthy is closing up to the number one spot with Hosein with a difference of only two rating points after his fine performance with the ball against England.
In the T20I All-Rounder Rankings, Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya is still at the top while Nepal Dipendra Singh Airee is in the number two spot.
Meanwhile, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah continues to rule the ICC Test Bowling Rankings following his superb series against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) where he took 32 wickets.
The ICC Test Batting Rankings are headed by England’s run machine Joe Root while his teammate Harry Brook sits in second place.
