ISLAMABAD: Naseem Shah and Mir Hamza wreaked havoc with the ball as Pakistan Shaheens booked Bangladesh A on 122 on the opening day of the first four-day match here on Tuesday.
Bangladesh A captain Anamul Haque’s decision to bat first after winning the toss did not prove beneficial as the touring side was all out on a meagre total.
Mahmudul Hasan Joy offered some resistance against a pace-heavy Shaheens’ bowling attack while the rest made modest contributions.
Leading the way with the ball for Pakistan Shaheens were Naseem Shah and Mir Hamza, who shared six wickets between them while Mohammad Rameez Jnr bagged two.
Right-arm pacer Mohammad Ali and experienced all-rounder Umar Ami chipped in with a wicket apiece.

In response, Pakistan Shaheens could bat for only two overs and scored as many runs as the action was halted due to bad light.
Notably, the opening day of the first four-day match between Pakistan Shaheens and Bangladesh A had a delayed start due to a wet outfield and concluded early due to bad light thus only 46.3 overs were bowled.
