Right-handed batter Mohammad Huraira on Saturday, joined an elite list of batters with his double century for Pakistan Shaheens against Bangladesh A in Darwin, Australia.
Huraira, who powered Shaheens to a mammoth total of 467/3 dec, became only the third Pakistan batter to score a First-Class double century in Australia, joining current Test captain Shan Masood and former batter Azhar Ali.
He also became only the ninth Asian batter to score a First-Class double ton in Australia, joining legendary batters like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Ravi Shastri.
Mohammad Huraira’s 218-run knock against Bangladesh marked his third 200-plus score in just 39 First-Class matches.

Huraira, who powered Pakistan Shaheens to 375-2 at Stumps on Day 1, added 57 more runs to his unbeaten overnight total of 161 to bring up his third double-century.
The right-handed batter conceded 247 balls amid his magnificent knock and struck 27 boundaries including a six.
Pakistan Shaheens will play two four-day matches against Bangladesh ‘A’, followed by a tri-series with the Northern Territory side and Bangladesh in Darwin. They will also participate in the nine-team Top End T20 Series.
Notably, Pakistan’s red-ball head coach Jason Gillespie is serving as the Shaheens’ head coach in Darwin for the two four-day matches.
