KARACHI: Karachi Whites, coming off a loss of 56 runs against Peshawar the previous day, bounced back by defeating Lahore Whites by 63 runs at the National Bank Stadium in the Super Eight stage match of the National T20 Cup.
Khurram Manzoor, who opened the batting for Karachi Whites, laid a solid foundation after being invited to bat first by Lahore Whites.
Manzoor scored a half-century (50, 37b, 9x4s), followed by aggressive batting by the two youngsters, Omair Bin Yousuf (43, 25b, 3x4s, 3x6s) and Azam Khan (21, 13b, 2x4s, 1×6), helped surge the total to 173-7 in 20 overs.
Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Rameez Jnr and Mohammad Amir Khan returned with two wickets each whereas Mohammad Naveed had a wicket to his name for Lahore Whites.

Lahore Whites had an abysmal outing with the bat as none of the batters could build their innings sufficiently to achieve the target.
The side lost wickets at regular intervals and stood at 62-6 at the halfway mark of the innings.
Tayyab Tahir (36, 27b, 6x4s) was the top-scorer for Lahore, followed by Mohammad Irfan who scored an unbeaten 27 from 17, including three fours and a six.

The Karachi Whites bowling attack came out all gun blazing, with each bowler picking at least a wicket, as Lahore Whites were bundled out for 110 in 16.5 overs.
Sohail Khan grabbed three wickets while Shahnawaz Dahani, Ghulam Mudassar and Danish Aziz got two wickets apiece.
For his contribution with the bat, Khurram Manzoor was awarded player of the match.
