LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday, charged Multan Sultans’ all-rounder Khushdil Shah for a level 1 breach of the PSL Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel during his side’s match against Peshawar Zalmi on Friday.
According to the PCB, Khushdil has been fined 10 per cent of the match fee for the misconduct. The all-rounder was charged for disobeying an umpire’s instruction.
“Khushdil was charged for violating Article 2.4 that reads as, ‘Disobeying an umpire’s instruction during the match’,” stated PCB in a press release.
“The incident took place in the 15th over of Multan Sultans’ batting, when Khushdil, twice in the over asked umpires to check the ball,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, the all-rounder has pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the sanctions proposed by match referee Muhammad Javed.
It is apropos to mention that Rilee Rosssouw’s record ton powered Sultans to pull off the highest run chase in PSL to beat Peshawar Zalmi and confirmed their spot in the playoffs.
