LAHORE: The rock-bottom Quetta Gladiators got a major boost ahead of the second phases of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight as South African bowling all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius joined the former champions on Wednesday.
The 2019 PSL champions United, who suffered a massive blow with Jason Roy’s departure for his national duty in Bangladesh, got a much-needed confidence booster ahead of their remaining matches as Pretorius joined the squad on Wednesday afternoon.
Taking to Twitter, the Gladiators announced the arrival of Pretorius for the remaining matches of PSL 8.
“T20 specialist bowler Dwaine Pretorius has joined [Purple Force],” wrote Gladiators.

The former champions are currently struggling in the ongoing extravaganza as they sit at the bottom of the points table with just two points in five matches.
Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Gladiators need a strong comeback in a bid to hype up their playoff march.
The Gladiators next face defending champions and leaders Lahore Qalandars in their sixth fixture of the PSL 8 on Thursday.
