SEVILLE: Gabri Veiga scored a goal in each half to help Celta Vigo claim a close 4-3 victory against Real Betis in a thrilling LaLiga encounter on Saturday.
Jorgan Larsen found an early opener for the visitors at Benito Villamarín Stadium in the seventh minute before Real Betis levelled just three minutes later through Juanmi.
Sergio Canales gave a lead to the home side in the 24th minute but Gabri sprung into action and found an equalizer just before the break. He continued the momentum into the second half and found his second goal in the 57th minute.
Joseph Aidoo, however, strengthened the lead 13 minutes later and gave Celta Vigo a two-goal cushion.
Nabil Fekir brought down the equation to 4-3 six minutes before time through a penalty, however, Betis finished with 10 men after Luiz Felipe was sent off in the stoppage time.
Earlier Getafe held on Atletico Madrid to a 1-1 draw, thanks to a late penalty scored by Enas Unal to equalize Angel Correa’s 61st-minute strike.
Meanwhile, Pere Milla scored an outstanding hat-trick to help Elche thrash the visitors Villareal 3-1 on Saturday.
