Sarfaraz Ahmed hits 13th first-class hundred in QEAT match

KARACHI: Pakistan’s former captain and Sindh batter Sarfaraz Ahmed scored his 13th first-class century in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (QeAT) match against Northern, here at National Bank Cricket Arena on Thursday. 

Wicket-keeper batter Sarfaraz played a scintillating knock of 131-ball 102, laced with 11 fours and a six, on the final day of the QeAT round nine fixture, which ended in a draw.

The 35-year-old looked in sublime touch as he resumed the play from the overnight score of  62 not out and raced to his first hundred of the season, steering his team to a 476-run total in the first innings.

It is worth mentioning here that Sarafaraz has captained the national Test side in 13 matches. Overall, he has represented Pakistan in 49 Tests and amassed 2657 runs, including three centuries at an average of 36.4.
